Modify who receives reports

When someone joins or leaves the company, or is simply interested in getting a summary of the monitoring results on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, you may want to update the list of report recipients.

To access the recipient list for a particular report, do the following:

  1. Click on the "Ecosystem Tab" on the top right of your web console.
  2. Next, click on the "Reports Sharing" subtab, which will bring up a list of reports along with their contact list.
  3. Select a report from the list on the left
  4. The recipient list for the selected report will appear on the right side of the screen

To add a new recipient:

  1. Enter a valid email address in the box located next to the button.
  2. Click on the button and verify the new contact appears in the Report Contacts list.
  3. Save changes by clicking on the "Save Recipients" button.

Reports can be sent to groups of recipients as well. Groups are simply an alias to a list of email addresses, to help make it clear who the reports are being delivered to. For example, instead of entering in your NOC team's email addresses individually in the contacts, simply create a NOC group, which is easily edited as people join or leave the company.

To add a previously configured group of recipients:

  1. Select the group name from the drop-down menu, located next to the Add Group button.
  2. Click on the Add Group button and verify the group name appears in the Report Contacts list.
  3. Save changes by clicking on the "Save Recipients" button.

To create a new group of recipients:

  1. Follow the instructions in Create_or_modify_a_contact_group.

To delete an existing contact:

  1. Click on the contact name or group name in the Report Contacts list.
  2. Click on the button and verify the contact name or group name is removed from the list.
  3. Save changes by clicking on the "Save Recipients" button.

Note: Report contacts containing off@webmetrics.com or trial@webmetrics.com will prevent the delivery of reports to all addresses in contact list. Remove these addresses when adding your own.
